A Check List Of Documents An Executor Needs Access To

It’s great that you have all of your documents stored, but does your executor or a family member know where they are? As an executor or a senior, you should have these documents in one place should either of you need them.  Our handy, quick  Checklist has helpful advice  on some of the paper work that should be kept in a safe place that is easy to access:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Baptism Certificate
  • Marriage License
  • Prenuptual Agreement and/ or Marriage Contract
  • Separation Agreement
  • Divorce Papers
  • Child Support Documents
  • Adoption Papers
  • Death Certificate
  • SIN Card or number
  • Immigration and/or Citizenship Documents
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Passports
  • Out of Country Passport
  • Driver’s License
  • Out of Country Driver’s License
  • Health Card or number
  • Insurance Card
  • Handicap Pass
  • Firearm license / Permits
  • Military Service records
